'Relationships and skills will be with me beyond graduation'

Published on 6/11/2007 by The Norwich Bulletin

I began my schooling at St. Bernard in the sixth grade. Since then, I have formed relationships and learned skills that will be with me beyond high school graduation.

Everyone is like family. I've made lifelong friends here.

Something I like best about the school is the opportunity to explore. In my time at St. Bernard, I dabbled in everything from soccer to tennis and, along the way, discovered a love of art. It really has been a blessing in disguise for me. I didn't know I could do art until I came.

Since I found a passion, I will continue my education at the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., majoring in graphics and art.

By getting a strong academic background, realizing my talents and making friends, I feel prepared to take the next step in my life. But I won't forget where I spent my important and enjoyable years at St. Bernard.

I know I'll come back here.
