Academic Honors / Class Rank
Class Rank: Class rank is determined by the sum of weighted quality points of the scheduled courses. Weighting factors are as follows: AP 1.6, Honors 1.4, Advanced 1.2, College Prep 1.0. Only courses taken during the academic school day at Saint Bernard School are considered for class rank. Pass/fail courses are not used to determine rank. Rank is calculated at the end of the academic year.

Overview
Mission
Saint Bernard School is a diocesan Catholic
coeducational school and a member of the XBSS network, open to students
of all faiths in grades 6-12. The Saint Bernard School community is
committed to providing a college-preparatory education enriched by
values that follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. It strives to provide
a safe and supportive atmosphere that fosters high academic achievement
and growth in spiritual, social, and physical development, while
emphasizing service to those in need.
Faculty
Our faculty includes 29 Professional Educators, 21 with Advanced degrees. We also have a diocesan priest.
Community Service
In order to graduate, all students must fulfill 100 community service hours during their four-year enrollment at St. Bernard School

Accreditation
Saint Bernard School has been approved and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and Connecticut Department of Education. The most recent accreditation was done by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation in November 2003.
